A delegation from the Republic of Serbia, led by Stefan Badza, Director for Special Projects in the Office of the Prime Minister of Ana Brnabic, and Jovan Milic, Special Advisor to Minister Dr. Jelena Begovic, visited the Mila Institute in Montreal.
Thousands of scientists are present daily on the campus, and in 2017, the Mila Institute expanded its activities through collaboration with the University of Montreal. Today, Mila brings together a community of professors, student researchers, students, industrial partners, and startups working in the field of artificial intelligence.
In 2018, Mila gained non-profit status and opened new facilities in 2019 in the innovative Mile-Ex district of Montreal.
The delegation from the Republic of Serbia also attended workshops organized by the Global Partnership for Artificial Intelligence, of which Serbia is a member. It's worth noting that this global organization has only 29 members and focuses on the development of artificial intelligence worldwide.
