The Research and Development Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia has a unique role in the development of the AI ecosystem in Serbia.
The mission of the Institute is to develop the AI ecosystem and the economically significant AI sector and thus help Serbia become a superpower in the field of artificial intelligence. That is why the AI Institute brings together scientists, researchers and industry experts from around the world dedicated to researching and applying artificial intelligence in various fields, such as the automotive industry, medical diagnostics, finance, increasing business efficiency and discovering new drugs and materials.
With a vision to become a “factory” of leaders in this field, the AI Institute has an approach to intellectual property protection that favors researchers and industry partners since it intends to patent and commercialize most of what the Institute's researchers learn and invent.
The Research and Development Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia was formally founded by the Government of the Republic of Serbia in March 2021 and currently has offices in science and technology parks throughout Serbia.
