The President of the Republic of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, and the regional director of Pfizer, Mohamed Hamam, signed a Memorandum of Understanding today, confirming their partnership in the development of biomedicine and biotechnology in Serbia.

The meeting and signing were attended by the Minister of Science, Technological Development, and Innovation, Dr. Jelena Begović, and the regional team of Pfizer.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the collaboration with Pfizer and the signing of the Memorandum are in line with the Serbian government's priority to invest in science, innovation, and the use of modern technologies, including biotechnology and artificial intelligence.
The importance of these technologies is particularly evident through the construction of one of the government's priority projects, the BIO4 Campus.
The Prime Minister highlighted that the BIO4 Campus will bring together higher education, science, the private sector, startup companies, investors, and all other relevant stakeholders to make Serbia internationally recognized in the field of bioeconomy as a new generator of economic growth in our country's future.
Hamam stated that Pfizer, as a company, is relentless in its search for innovative discoveries that change patients' lives, committed to finding solutions to reach every patient, relying on science that always prevails. He expressed his satisfaction with continuing this mission through close collaboration with the government of Serbia.
