After the Swiss company Roche and the Japanese company Takeda, BIO4 Campus now has another international partner thanks to the team from the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Chinese company "BGI Group".

The Memorandum of Understanding envisions continuous collaboration in the areas of biotechnology, artificial intelligence, and cutting-edge technologies including synthetic biology and other areas of enhanced diagnostics in medicine.
More than 15 artificial intelligence specialists from Serbia are employed by the "BGI Group" at its development center in Belgrade, and cooperation with the Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Serbian universities in the area of education in new sciences like bioinformatics has also been started.
The Republic of Serbia's partnership with the business BGI Group, which contributed two "Fire Eye" laboratories during the COVID-19 epidemic, has been a positive one, Minister Begovic said. He thanked the Chinese partners and emphasized how much this assistance meant to all Serbian residents.
