The University of Kragujevac, which consists of thirteen institutions (twelve faculties and the Institute of Information Technologies) and 1330 researchers, was the first to have the chance to participate in the development of the eScience information system when the eScience portal began operating yesterday.

The University of Kragujevac is a prime example of "good practice" because it has a developed infrastructure for the exchange of scientific knowledge and a consistent practice of depositing it in the institutional digital repository SCIDAR (Scientific Digital Archive). As a result, its researchers will be the first to have access to the portal's scientific section. Researchers can check their author profiles, assess the validity of the information, and examine whether there are publications that are unrelated to their profiles by using a personal ORCID number.
The publicly accessible eScience portal's objective is to track the scientific performance of institutions and researchers in the Republic of Serbia. It is designed to provide a unified display of research output, the areas in which researchers specialize, their accomplishments, and those of scientific and research organizations.
It is anticipated that the Republic of Serbia's whole active researcher population will have access to the eScience portal by the summer of 2023.
